Sleep Advice

I've been having a little trouble sleeping lately, and I stumbled across this article. I don't agree with number 3. Exercising later at night actually makes me tired. Also, if I get up and watch television, there is no going back to bed for me. I've been taking valerian root, and it works ok. I can take it for awhile, but then it's recommended to take a week off. I'm usually left with no sleep that week. Any ideas?

Read? Nothing stimulating like you know MY BOOK because then you totally wont sleep. Try The Jungle by Upton Sinclair, Pride and Prejudice, perhaps some science related mumbo jumbo.

Sometimes I take Melatonin. They say to take it a few hours before bed, but I find that it works best for me when I take it 20 minutes or so before I want to head to bed. It works quite well but after a while I started having the "vivid dreams" that's on the warning label. I can't tell you what the dreams are about because I don't remember them afterwards, but I know they're quite vivid!

Have you tried sex? It usually puts me right to sleep afterward.

Just a suggestion.

I have also been doing crosswords in bed. It puts my ass to sleep in about 15 minutes.

Can't help you on the drug end.
