First of all, I would like to say that I really hope that Haleigh Cummings of Florida is found alive and well and unmolested. I really do. She's just a little girl. I hope she'll be ok.
With that out of the way, I would like to add that if, while in the midst of searching for your missing little girl, you take a time-out to get a commemorative tattoo, you might be a big, old douchebag.
The end.

Well, I would like to say that people grieve in different ways, but this is odd. Ok, it's more than odd. It makes me uneasy for some reason.
Did you look at it? It's not just like one of those creepy tombstone-esque ones--it's a giant child head--on his leg. It is creepy and weird. But really? My question is...shouldn't he be doing something productive--like putting up flyers. That tattoo ain't gonna help bring Haleigh home. Plus, all that time he invested in having it done? Could have been spent working to do something to help her. If daddy loves his little girl so much, why's he so worried about tatting up?
First, the tattoo is horrible. Second, I am pretty sure either the father or the girlfriend had something to do with her disappearance...so I am not really surprised by this ridiculous stunt.
I...dont want to say anything condemning on this one because you know, like Alex said people all do different things when grieving. I for one am completely nuts. Remember Jackie O and her brain spattered dress.
It sounds kind of trashy because it's a tattoo, and it's like shouldnt you be doing something productive, but at the same time, I dont know what really can be done when you're waiting for the police to call you to tell you they found something. Posters? I dont know. I really dont know.
Also, tats are meaningful to people sometimes, especially in some cultures. This could be, seriously, how he's "avoiding" it because he doesnt want to feel...you know what I mean, like being in shock. Like how I laughed at my dead boyfriend's body.
It's hard to call on this one.
People are weird as all hell.
Would a tattoo serve as a walking missing person poster?
